‘Let’s support our own’

Reigning Ghanaian comedian Derrick Kobina Bonney known as DKB have registered his disquiet about how people criticise comedian in Ghana whenever given the platform to perform. Consequently, he called on Ghanaians to support their own comedians from Ghana.

According to the award winning comedian “it’s about time we need to let the people of Ghana understand that Gh comedy is here to stay”.

The “Apology” hit singer posted this statement on his Facebook wall, stressing “It’s so sad being a comedian in Ghana.They say u are not talented if u dont mock sensitive national issues. When U do dey call u disrespectful but when a Nigerian comedian comes here to do it they say ”OMG he is so creative ”… As if i was lying about people insulting President Mahama.. Nonsense!!!! Yee shameless talent killers must prepare for more bombs I Dkb is about to drop with I will leave no national issue unattened, i will mock everything if u like make your father do 19yr old yawa some, walaaahi I no go spare am on stage!!! Lool! U said we werent funny, well we got funny, now we dont respect…. mcheeeww get a life!!! GhComedy we just comot wana eyes, cos we many many devils pass these ones…. BAAFIRA!!!!
