C.E.O of 3Music Awards and showbiz pundit Sadiq Abdulai says the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta lied about the establishment of a Creative Arts Council.
According to him, the Creative Arts bill, which will make the Interim Arts Council legal, has not yet been passed.
Sadiq Abdulai said it was therefore deceptive for the Minister to have added the establishment of a Creative Arts Council to the NPP’s achievements during the 2019 budget presentation.
‘That was a very deceptive thing to put out…They don’t have any legal backing yet’, he said.
Meanwhile Chairman of the Ghana Hotels Association, Benjamin Afunya, says the budget read by the Finance Minister did not contain any thing to help the hospitality industry.
Benjamin Afunya asked government to provide soft loans for the hospitality sector to grow the industry.
