The much patronised movie christened “Keteke” produced by award winning movie director Peter Sedufia has secured another nomination for the 2019 Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO).
The movie has been adjudged by industry players as one of the brilliant movie produced in this 21st century with lead cast Lydia Forson, Adjetey Anang et al starred in the movie.
The organizers of the award scheme held a press confab on January 15, 2019 at the international press conference in Paris, France.
The 26th edition of feature-length films witnessed Peter Sedufia’s Keteke making Ghana proud among other 16 countries.
A total of 20 films are selected with 16 countries represented: Mali, Burkina Faso, Tunisia, Tanzania, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Mozambique, Morocco, Sudan, Rwanda, South Africa, Algeria, and Nigeria.
Burkina Faso has the highest number of films selected (three), followed by South Africa and Tunisia, each of which has two representatives.
This year’s selection is full of powerful and entertaining films that together celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of cultures and stories from all over the world.
In an interview culled via Ghanaweb, Mr Sedufia said “I am truly humbled by the news and I thank the team for this recognition. It’s a prestige to see your works being acknowledged globally”.
